FAQs

What should I wear?

If you can, it’s helpful to wear something comfortable that you can move easily in. However you can get adjusted in almost anything. We do have gowns available if you would prefer to get changed but most people will get adjusted fully clothed.

Will it hurt?

Most people feel little to no pain at all during an adjustment. There may be moments where it is slightly uncomfortable but these are usually short lived. This might be when we are working out some of the knots in your muscles or when we touch a joint that is tender because it isn’t moving as well as it should. In most cases if you weren’t in pain before the adjustment then you wont feel any afterwards either.

Do I need a referral?

Not at all. If you have a chronic condition your GP may provide you with a certain number of visits through medicare per year.

How quickly will I see an improvement?

Most people will feel an immediate improvement. For some people it may take a few days or even up to a week. This can all depend on your age, general health, how long you’ve had the problem for and how bad the injury was in the first place.

Do I have to get ‘cracked’?

No, not at all! We have low force options available which means you don’t need to be manually adjusted. We will recommend which treatment we think will work best for you but we will only proceed with what you are comfortable with. You are welcome to change your mind at any time during the treatment too, just let us know!

Can I claim visits through my Private Health Cover?

Yes! If you have chiropractic cover you can claim on the spot through our Hicaps machine. Otherwise we can give the receipt and you can claim it back manually though your fund. Most companies now have an app online to make it even easier to claim back.

Will Cricket the dog be at the clinic?

Cricket has a very bad habit of trying to kiss people on the face when they are lying face down on the treatment table, so until she develops some personal and professional boundaries she will not be at the clinic.

Can I exercise after a treatment?

Most of the time, movement after an adjustment is great! Even a short stroll before jumping in your car can help. Depending on the severity of the injury we may advise against some activities like weightlifting or certain sports for a short amount of time. If in doubt, feel free to ask!

Will I have to keep coming back forever?

It is completely up to you to decide if and when you want to come back. We might recommend a time frame that we think will work best for you. Some patients only come in when they have hurt themselves and some choose to come in regularly to keep on-top of their issues. If you are fit an healthy it may be a fair while in between visits. Or if you are like us and spend too much time on the couch it may be more frequent.

Do you accept Workcover and TAC claims?

Unfortunately we do not accept any work cover or TAC claims. However we can recommend some fantastic chiropractors in the area that do. We will accept EPC plans through Medicare that are issued by your GP. If you are not sure, feel free to ask!
